Apple releases iTunes 9 offering 20 free songs for Download

Apple has released iTunes 9 for direct download from its official website. The best news is that, Apple has launched its own ‘Facebook Fan Page’ of iTunes. This will allow users to share music and apps via Facebook.

Currently, 20 free songs from Indie artists is available for download.

Facebook users will have to first add themselves as a ‘fan of iTunes’ and install the new “free on iTunes” app. This will provide a link to the iTunes Indie Spotlight Sampler, where users will find 20 free songs for download.

iTunes 9 includes new features like iTunes LP, which is a new music format developed by Apple. This will allow easy integration of multimedia, song lyrics, photos and liner notes.

Home sharing, which will allow users to share their music files across authorized computers on their home network.

Improved Syncing of music as per genre or artist and photos with iPhoto’s Events and People identification.

Genius Mixers will mix and play songs from library, which are better suited.
