One97 and Star News Partner to provide Latest News via Mobile Services

One97 Communications has partnered with Star News, with an intention of providing current news to all its users anywhere and anytime. With this Star News viewers can get the latest headlines through cell phones, rather than traditional Television news.

Viewers will receive information on their cell phone through SMS or Voice Alerts. This will also help consumers who spend their money on receiving news alerts from Mobile based services.

The services will be available in multiple languages with the platform provided by One97, which is India’s largest and widely spread Telecom application platform with 97 % users in India.

Initially, SMS subscription news service will be launched which will be operational with 3 operators Airtel, BSNL and Reliance. To subscribe this service user will have to send a SMS “StarN” to 53030
