Apple unveils iPhone Firmware 3.0 with New Features

Apple has unveiled iPhone Firmware 3.0 with some expected features mainly the Copy, Cut & Paste option. The user will have to just Double tap the words, to launch Copy, Cut & Paste option in a single interface.

The iPhone 3.0 has also added support for MMS with the ability to send messages in the background, which means that you can type second message while the first message is being sent.

The Voice Memo Interface will allow iPhone users to record any sound and send it to friends via MMS. The iPhone 3.0 has integrated universal search interface for Mail, Notes, iPod and Calendar.

There are 1000 API’s for developers with ability to directly embed Google Maps and features like Push notification which will allow third-party apps to send data to Apple’s Push service, which will in turn send the data to the Users iPhone.

The iPhone OS 3.0 update will be available to iPhone users for free. And the iPod Touch users will have to pay $9.99 for the update.
