Download and Installation of Windows 7 Beta

Windows 7 the Predecessor of Windows Vista will be available for download on January 9th, 2009 at the Windows 7 Page. Click here to have a look at videos of Windows 7.

The Software will be available only to the first 25 Million people who download the beta version of the Windows 7.

Windows 7 will be available in English, German, Japanese, Arabic and Hindi. All these languages will be available in 32 and 64 bit versions (except Hindi which will only be available in 32-bit Version).

The download of Windows 7 will be offered as an ISO image file. This means that once you download the Windows 7 Beta Version, to install it you will have to burn the ISO image to a DVD using a DVD burner.

So, make sure to have a DVD burner before wasting your time on downloading the Windows 7 beta version.

The Windows 7 beta only supports the upgrade from Windows Vista SP1 to Windows 7. As the Operating System is in beta version, it’s recommended to use Windows Vista’s Backup and Restore feature before upgrade. Click here, for more information on methods of Backing up your files in Windows vista.
