VMware launches Mobile Virtualization Platform

Mobile Phone Market has undergone huge change; it is full of Competition and innovation. Mobile Vendors are busy developing different types of feature rich applications for their handsets. Which results in spending of huge amount of money to develop software’s for different operating systems.

VMware has come up with a solution, which will help Mobile Vendors to reduce cost and time spent on developing new applications.

VMware which is well known for desktop virtualization has developed a new platform for Mobile Virtualization. This new thin layer of software will be embedded on a Mobile Phone, will consume less power and reduce hardware cost

Currently it supports operating systems like Windows CE 5.0 and 6.0, Linux 2.6.x, Symbian 9.x, eCos, µITRON NORTi and µC/OS-II.
