The ability to search people in Plaxo directory has been improved. The Profile of members, who have opted to be included in the directory, will be listed. Now there are over a million members who have opted-in, and have now opened the doors on the directory which is available at directory.plaxo.com. The recent changes were done in order to protect the privacy of the members. And users who do not want their profile to be listed in the directory can do so by going to settings and turning off People Search.

The directory will be indexed by Google, Yahoo, MSN and other search engines and users can customize their public profile page to show any and all (or none) of their Plaxo profile. For example, users can choose whether to show their Personal Information like Birthday, Political views, educational history, professional history, or interests.
