Domain Whois Lookup Available at Google.com but not at Google.co.in
Google has now started indexing the domain whois information in search engine. Now, what is whois record? Of course a normal web user is not familiar with whois record, only website owners know about whois record.
Here, is the small explanation about whois. It is a database, where you can find name of the website owner, when the domain name was registered and when will the domain name get expired. Until now the standard procedure to look at the whois record was by visiting websites like who.is and type the domain name.

Google has made it easy. For example if you want to get information about shodan.in. Go to Google.com and just type whois shodan.in you will get to know the date when the domain was registered and when will the domain ownership get expired.
But, if you open Google.co.in and make a query about any website, the information is not available.
Note: The Whois information is provided by DomainTools.com and they have daily whois query Limit. After few query you will get a message – “You have reached your daily lookup limit as an guest user. Please login or register”.
