Samsung – Adidas Unveils SGH-F110 MiCoach

Samsung partnered with Adidas and announced the MiCoach fitness-oriented handset. The MiCoach is a slider cell phone equipped with a music player, stereo FM radio and up to 10 hours music playback time, 2 mega pixel camera and 1GB of internal storage space.

The MiCoach is equipped with a heart rate monitor, which makes use of a belt that measures your heart beat off your chest. The phone also has a stride sensor that needs to be clipped on to the shoe laces. Now with these features, plus the accelerometer and the pedometer, the phone gives you a real-time voice-coaching during workouts. The phone can also read out your current stats like time, calories, heart rate etc.

The MiCoach hits the scene measuring 101.5mm x 45mm x 14.5mm and allows the user to tap the 2.0″ display while running to instantly get information on the current workout. The miCoach sports quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900MHz) as well as Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP support for stereo headsets. The phone is excepted to hit the market by mid-march 2008.
