Stage6 is introducing Veoh Networks Inc

If you visit Stage6 site you will notice a message saying that “Stage6 to Shut Down on February 28“. Stage6 was my favorite video sharing site but if you ask me about video quality then stage6 is way better than other video sharing sites which are already available.

I guess most of the user of stage 6 can’t deny about the video quality which stage6 offered. If you are wondering why they are closing the site as Tom (Divx employee) already said that the Stage6 is a very expensive enterprise that requires an enormous amount of attention and resources that Stage6 is not in a position to continue to fulfil it. They were also unable to find a buyer for it and probably that’s why they took that decision to shutdown the site. It’s already created a huge buzz among stage6 users. Nearly 11000 comments written over there in Stage6 site and lots of comments are coming with only request that please don’t shutdown stage6.

If you look at the right side of the Web page you will notice a message “Stage6 is introducing Veoh Networks Inc. as a site that promises to offer our users a smooth transition. Millions of people use Veoh each month and we feel it is a great fit for our users.” It is clear that Veoh is grabbing the users of Stage6, hope they will offer high quality videos like Stage6.
